Naya Bacalar Hotel

The place is truly incredible. The rooms feel dreamy, and the whole atmosphere is very intimate, surrounded by nature and silence. It was exactly what we were looking for. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the restaurant food was delicious. The relaxing area by the lagoon is also really beautiful and peaceful.

My only comments would be that the restaurant menu is a bit limited, and dinner service ends quite early at night. It would also be amazing if the property had a dock/pier for easier access to the lagoon.

Probably the best stay we’ve ever had! Seriously amazing. Booked it for my partners birthday present and he absolutely loved it. Most amazing room with private pool… such a comfy bed and loved the outdoor shower. Food was nice and the cocktails lovely. Friendly staff too.

Only thing is the pool area at the back seems a bit neglected and could do with a few touch ups. Also the steak wasn’t that great in the restaurant but all the other food was lovely.

Everything! The location is spectacular and a little outside the town so you feel like you have the lagoon to yourself. The food was incredible, and the staff are so lovely and helpful (special shout out to Sergio).

Nothing! The hotel is a ten min taxi (200 mxn peso) each way. We knew this booking it so not an issue for us but just something to be aware of

This place is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are lovely, the bed is comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily have stayed a few days longer. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We also really enjoyed the resident dogs and cats at the property who were often in the common areas.

You are a bit out of town (which isn’t a problem, it is in many ways a bonus), but there are some limitations with this that are worth knowing if you don’t have a car. Uber can be booked from Bacalar to the resort, but not from the resort to town. There is a local taxi firm you can find online that can be booked to pick you up. The restaurant at the resort has a small menu, which is fine for a stay is a few days, but you may wish for more options if you book a longer stay.

Wunderschöne Häuser/Zimmer. Besonderes schöne Anlage. Frühstück sehr gut, landestypisch halt!

Wir hatten ein Mietauto, aber für alle die nicht flexibel sind.... Es liegt außerhalb von Bacalar und ist zu Fuß nicht zu erreichen. Unser Punkteanzug gilt aber lediglich dem, dass leider kein Steg vorhanden ist und somit der Zugang in den See erst etwas steinig und dann schlammig ist und die Sicht auf die Lagune eingeschränkt ist, aber das ist Geschmackssache.

We stayed in one of the houses and overall had a pleasant experience. The houses are very nice and cozy, and the beds were comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. The location is also lovely and peaceful, perfect for relaxing near the lagoon. Breakfast was good and tasty, though some items like eggs or additional extras come with an extra charge.

One thing to note is that the beach area is quite small and there are many rocks at the shore, so it’s a good idea to bring swimming shoes to enter the water more comfortably.
